We're back from the beach! We had an awesome time. It was our first real family vacation. We had never driven with Owen further than 3 hours and he'd never spent the night in a hotel before, so this was super exciting for him (and us). Here he is in the car right before we headed out on Friday. We left after lunch around noon and drove halfway to Destin, stopping in Alabama to spend the night. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, which turned out to be really nice. I was worried what we'd be able to find on the road without a reservation, but it worked out perfectly. Owen loved it because it had a pool! He really preferred the hot tub though:)
