Well, the good news from Luke's 1 month appt. is that he's definitely growing! He'd gained 2 pounds or so in the last 3 weeks. He's now over 10 pounds! We talked to the pediatrician about his crying and lack of sleep. He told us to try switching formulas to Gentlease and also to let him eat as much as he wants. (The opposite of the nurse's suggestion!) He said maybe he's just hungry. So, we started offering him up to 4 ounces at a feeding. On the positive side, he has not had anymore hour-long fussy spells. He seems much more content and even happy at times. However, he's still eating every 2 hours and still not sleeping! He's also still fussy when he eats, spits up a lot, and arches his back in discomfort. The doctor thought relux might be the problem, so now we're trying a prescription reflux medicine too. He got his first dose today, so we'll see how that goes.

Hope the medicine helps. Does it feel like it's been longer than a month? Maybe with the medicine and more ounces things will turn around.
Happy 1 month, Luke!
Sorry he's having issues. I hope that the meds help him out soon!!!
That is so crazy... I almost called you to say feed that baby as much as he wants but I didn't want to go against your own nurse's advice! As I mentioned earlier about changing formulas, you may have to try a few different ones before you find one that agrees with Luke. Poor babies and poor parents! Love ya'll!
